Week 1: December 8th 1914 My name is Frankie Maroniee. I was born on July 1st, 1891. I live in Italy, and in a couple days I have to go to war. I am fighting for Italy. I'm very exited, because I am going to war to back up Italy's allies Austria Hungary. The only reason my nation is involved in this big confusing mess is because the rotten Serbs decided to kill the Arch Duke of Austria Hungary because they didn't like how he was running his own nation, and when they declared war for the assassination, they thought it could be a quick and easy victory over the Serbs... but when other nations backed up Serbia, Austria Hungary came to Germany and Italy for our help. In Europe there was competition going on between France and Germany. So ya its confusing. Oh and by the way... ITS ON!!!
My country and I thought it was wrong for Serbia to assassinate the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungary. It was the wrong thing to do... because now this is just all one big mess. If they hadn't of made such a bad decision and take responsibility for their actions, we would all be fine. Nobody would be in this big confusing war.
Week 2: December 15th 1914. In order to win this war... My nation decided our top weapon should be the machine gun! It mows down hundreds of enemy's at a time, its very powerful and I think with this weapon, we will have a very short victory, and this war should approximately be over by Christmas, because I don't think anyone wants to be fighting a war during Christmas instead of being with our family's. Our battle plans are to just defend our nations and to back up our fellow allies in the time of need, and we should be fine.
Propaganda - This shows how Italy needed more men to come fight in the war to back up their allies!!!!
When Russia exited the war and the USA entered... this hurt our chances of winning the war badly because the US was a very strong and wealthy nation. The USA had us out numbered big time. They had plenty more men to come in and take over. The only reason the USA entered the war was because a letter to Mexico had been intercepted stating that if Mexico were to attack the US, Germany would help Mexico regain land that was taken from they long before.
Week 3 :December 24th 1916 Seeing how this war was taking longer than initially planned and we were not able to spend Christmas with our family's we decided to call a truce on Christmas eve and exchange gifts with our enemy's and have a good time because obviously nobody wants to be fighting and killing one another on Christmas :) We played games such as soccer and were able to have fun and take a break from the dramatic war. We agreed that as soon as Christmas was over we would go back to our sides and start the war again. This was kinda hard on me because I honestly made friends with some of my enemy's and became close... and now we had to go back to killing one another :(
Week 4: June 28th 1919. My Nations reaction to the Treaty of Versailles was ight. We came to an agreement that it was actually a good idea because this treaty was going to be the only thing to stop this madness. I'M SOOO GLAD THIS WAR IS FINALLY OVER!!!!
